The Original

This person has done one better and gone and actually written a poem about a toilet !! Must've had a terrible case of diarrhea !!

Ode to Toilet
In sickness I have sought
your cooling grace
and you have received
without question or shame
the parts of my being
that I could no longer contain.

You have soothed
the cramping of my bar-torn body,
supported the thorough cleansing
of my noisy soul
when no one else would listen.

You have tolerated
all the vile projectiles
I could hurl,
always remaining constant
refreshing my view of life
allowing catharsis
epitomizing receptivity.

Oh Goddess of the Toilet
I thank you

Ode to the Toilet

As you might have noticed, my previous posts invariably contain some mention of a toilet. So to discontinue the trend, without taking away well overdue importance from the issue, I dedicate this post entirely to the Toilet !!

India's age old practice of open discharge toilets in the railways is finally being given some thought. At the World Toilet Summit (which in itself deserves a good laughing at) held in the national capital last year, Railways minister Laloo "jab tak samosa mein rahega aloo" Prasad was urged to fight for the cause. Apart from hurting the delicate olfactory epithelia, the pee and poo corrode railway tracks which under 'normal conditions' have a life span of 30 years, and now have to be replaced every 2 years.

"We are probably the only railway system in the world that has open-discharge of faecal matter," said Raghuraman, an obviously not in the least bit famous toilet expert. The vacuum-retention system, in use all over the world on trains and aircraft, got a lot of vocal support. Personally, a skeptic of the always mushrooming low-cost airlines in our country, I choose to stay out of the known flight paths of aircrafts also.

On the exact same note: A pregnant woman on a train in India, went into the latrine and gave birth to a child who fell through the 'toilet' onto the tracks when the mother fell unconscious. Mother and child are alive and doing well.

On a very similar note: One out of every two persons in the world who does not have access to a toilet, is in India, one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

On a slightly similar note: Yo mama's like a railroad track, she gets laid all over the country!

Singing a totally different tune: Rap n Hip-Hop music r dope !! Peace homie \m/
