Barack Obama: first African American to be nominated as a Presidential candidate from a major political party. Thurs Aug 28, 2008: exactly 45 years after a man with a dream stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial before a 200,000 strong crowd, an African American has almost risen to the highest possible office and made that dream a reality.

Obama's speech was moving to say the least. He touched upon all the issues that he promises to bring change to, and everything had a personal touch. Democrats who are often described as "bringing a knife to a gun battle" can be proud of their candidate, who fearlessly threw quite a few punches John McCain's way. After 8 years of tough talking and little action, America needs to stand up. "Change doesn't come FROM Washington, Change goes TO Washington." Point by point he refuted all the charges laid against him by the GOP, half of which are ridiculous. The only thing which some people might have felt was lacking, was a reach out to the Hillary supporters.

These persons spoke to Larry King on CNN:
For all those in the Just Say No Deal coalition, all I can say is, you have no principles. Cynthia Ruccia, a strong Hillary Clinton supporter now supports John McCain. Reason? The Democratic Party shouldn't be rewarded for their behaviour during the campaign which they feel was sexist. Is she against the war in Iraq? Yes. Is she pro-choice? Yes. Does she know McCain's views are exactly the opposite on these issues? Yes. But all this takes the back seat. WomenForFairPolitics.com and sexism. That's what she feels is more important! Not better healthcare, education or lower taxes for 95% of working Americans.

Elizabeth Joyce, of HigherHeels.com, another Clinton supporter, feels Obama 'hasn't earned her vote.' Don't listen to Clinton for whom she worked so hard, who now is throwing all her effort into backing Obama. She is waiting for a personal request from the man himself. McCain hasn't asked for her vote either. So her policy is this: He who asks for my vote, Gets it !! Where are your principles missy?? Don't you have a mind and don't you know what you want for your future? If spending billions on a war that shouldn't have started in the first place, and drilling for oil is what you want, stand up and vote for McCain. Don't do it cause you feel left out by Obama.

All I have to say is, GOBAMA !! \m/
